Mensona Kennel Club, Inc., is located in Northern California, one hour north of
San Francisco, in the heart of Sonoma county.
We are an
AKC
member club and have been a part of Sonoma county since 1953.
Always interested in the community, one of the main goals of our club is to help dog
owners become responsible pet owners through education.
Our first dog show as a club was held in 1955.
We continue to hold 2 shows a year in Santa Rosa at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds.
The 2010 Agility Trials are scheduled for May 7th, 8th, and 9th.
The 2010 All-Breed Dog Shows, Obedience Trials and Rally Trials are scheduled for August 28th and 29th.
The admission is free and it is a great way to spend the day with your family.
Over the years, revenue from our shows has been used to donate to many worthy
organizations such as: animal shelters, the K-9 police unit,
book donations to schools and libraries and we are currently working on organizing a foundation
that addresses health issues in purebred dogs.
The club also offers
conformation training
classes.
